Jesse Mullins, LEED AP
PARTNER, PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
As Principal Electrical Consultant, Jesse focuses on assisting clients with building and transportation electrification, sustainability initiatives, infrastructure planning and modifications, alternative power systems infrastructure, and coordinating with electrical utilities for power planning. He brings extensive industry experience to owner representation and nurturing successful client relationships: over 25 years in commercial construction, 10 years as an inside wireman electrician, and 15 years as electrical consultant. He is also a WA State EL01 Certified Journey Level Electrician and is certified LEED AP.
Jesse is passionate about improving the efficiency of systems — which means questioning established ways of doing things to find opportunities for improved reliability, reduce project costs along with carbon footprint, and simply make things easier to use and maintain.

Mike Taylor, PE, LC
PARTNER, PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
As a Partner and Principal Consultant, Mike provides client recommendations on building construction that aligns with their Standards. He also consults on how to develop client Standards and helps design teams collaborate with owners and facilities teams. Having grown up in the construction industry, he is able to take a holistic and deeply experienced approach to his work with software and hardware labs, offices (both new construction and tenant improvements), networking infrastructure, campus power planning, warehouses, and logistics facilities.
Mike is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE, Electrical) in WA State and Registered Lighting Consultant (LC) with over 21 years in an engineering/consulting role. A PNW native, he has been with CES Consulting since 2007. He is passionate about teaching others and learning from them, in turn. This commitment to communication and collaboration is part of how he enables his clients to make the most effective and complete decisions to meet their needs.

Brent Sole
SUPERVISING CONSULTANT / PROGRAM LEADER
Brent is passionate about getting deeply involved with projects from concept development to completion. He enjoys delving into the client’s requirements and objectives, then seeing them through the process with design, project completion, and post-project operational support, providing assistance through each stage of development
Brent received his B.A. from Central Washington University in 2005. In addition, he is an EL01 Certified Journey Level Electrician (Inactive) and holds both an FLIR Level II Thermography Certification and an ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems Internal Auditor Certification. Brent has been working in the Electrical Industry in Puget Sound since 2006, specializing in construction, data center facility management, critical infrastructure, building systems integration, metering, environmental sustainability, and conservation. He has been a consultant with CES since 2013. With a love for problem-solving and other active learning processes, he engages directly with the client and other stakeholders to find the best possible solution.

Dean Kandlik
ELECTRICAL CONSULTANT
Dean’s focus revolves around providing design support for software and hardware labs in the Puget Sound area, with his primary role being engineering support for technology clients. Dean will be the first to tell you that he’s been in the field since dinosaurs roamed the earth. He’s been providing Electrical CAD support since 1989, and Electrical Design since 1996.
Dean has been with CES Consulting since 2006, where he particularly enjoys integrating green design measures into projects and imagining the future technological possibilities for green electrical generation. As a native of West Seattle and Kitsap County, he can often be found hiking, working on his outdoor photography, or spending time with the grandkids — possibly while working on classic cars.

Katie Santiago
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES & PAYROLL
Katie oversees our Accounts Receivables and payroll. With a B.A. in Business Administration and nearly three decades of experience in office administration and business operations, she came to CES Consulting following 10 years within the aviation manufacturing industry, in roles spanning from business analyst and procurement to military contracts.
Katie’s personal mission is to always provide swift, detailed, and accurate information — a critical part of simplifying the process for all stakeholders and making the organization more efficient.

Nathaniel Richardson
ELECTRICAL CONSULTANT
Focusing primarily on tenant improvements, lab renovations, project planning (initiation and closeout), and facility maintenance, Nathaniel enjoys any project that improves the function and appearance of a building. He also brings a wealth of experience to the CES team: an Associates Degree in Applied Technology in Mechanical Engineering Design, 8 years as an electrical consultant, 15 years in the commercial AEC industry, and 20+ years of CAD drafting and design in various fields.
With CES Consulting, Nathaniel is committed to leaving each project, space, and client in a better place than when they started. He’s also passionate about helping projects be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. He believes that both can be readily achievable with a concerted effort, and enjoys the process of helping to guide effective choices.

Tristan Schlak
ELECTRICAL CONSULTANT
Tristan works in the space of lab reconfiguration, workplace improvement, EV charging, electrical metering, data analytics, and more. If a project involves metering and data analytics, he’ll be there! He’s excited to be part of the advancement and development that’s fueling innovation and changing the world.
A Seattle-ite since 2007, Tristan is on a mission to harness technology to make better use of the resources that are making the development of new technology and products more sustainable and environmentally friendly. It’s all part of what he loves about his work: being a part of developing the technology that powers our modern world, from computers and electric cars to renewable energy sources.
